Fabrizio Catalano is a commercially minded, UK qualified lawyer with 15 years’ experience, specialising in entertainment, media, IP and tech. He currently works as Head of Legal, APAC for Publicis Groupe, the 3rd largest communications company in the world.
Fabrizio’s career has been built in the discipline that translates intention into enforceable structure — the law of contracts, partnerships and the governance of cross-border arrangements. He has worked alongside institutions whose work depends on the integrity of the agreements that frame it, in domains where the consequence of imprecision is not theoretical but operational.
That formation gives Novi something every partnership-driven company critically needs and few have at founding stage: the capacity to design rights frameworks that protect every party, the understanding of multi-jurisdictional compliance across the geographies in which Novi operates, and the discipline of governance that allows a young company to engage with ministries, hospitals and global brands on equal terms.
Based in Singapore, Fabrizio oversees the legal and contractual architecture of every Novi programme — from the master agreements with partner institutions, through the contracts with technology providers such as CTC Health, to the compliance frameworks that govern Novi’s operations across European, Asian and emerging markets.
As Founder and Advisor, Fabrizio leads the legal and governance dimensions of the company, with primary responsibility for the structures on which every Novi partnership rests.
Fabrizio’s contribution to Novi is the contractual architecture of the company: the master agreements through which Novi enters into partnerships with institutions of standing, the rights frameworks that protect the intellectual property of partners while enabling its educational use, and the compliance structures – particularly with respect to GDPR, the protection of minors, and multi-jurisdictional governance – through which Novi operates across its active geographies.
In a company whose value proposition is built on partnership with institutions of unquestionable authority, this dimension is not adjacent to the business. It is the business. A partnership exists in the form it is documented; an obligation is honoured in the way it is structured. Fabrizio is the founder who ensures that the way Novi commits to its partners is worthy of the commitments those partners are making in return.
